Skin peels harness the power of naturally occurring acids and active ingredients to deeply exfoliate and brighten the skin. The treatment stimulates new cell growth and collagen production, helping to reveal fresher, clearer, brighter skin.

There are various types of chemical peels available, each penetrate skin at different levels of the epidermis. Resurfacers or superficial peels work on the very top layers of the epidermis and use enzymes and acids to refine and exfoliate. Skin peels or medium peels are stronger and work deeper to combat more specific skin complaints.

Removing the outer layers of dead skin with a chemical preparation, allows new skin cells to come through revealing a dramatically smoother and brighter complexion with fewer imperfections. Naturally derived acids loosen the glue-like attachments or cellular cement that is characteristic of many skin conditions such as ageing, acne, skin discolouration and coarse texture.

How does it work?
Skin peels work by exfoliating the outer layers of skin, removing dead cells and revealing fresh new cells underneath. It is a much deeper exfoliation than that of typical exfoliating creams and also help to stimulate the body’s own natural collagen production and can improve elasticity.

What does the treatment involve?

Skin is cleansed to remove excess oils so the chemical peel solution can cut through the skins barrier to get down to where it needs to. The liquid chemical peel solutions are then applied to your skin.

Once the peel has been left for the optimum amount time the skin is neutralised. A post-treatment mask helps to calm and soothe skin and the treatment is finished with nourishing moisturiser and an SPF for protection.
